About Moira Jill Sohn Tomasella
Moira Jill Sohn Tomasella, Esq. is a partner of Tomasella and Tomasella L.L.C.. and practices in the State of New York and the State of New Jersey. She specializes in domestic violence, divorce, support, custody and post-divorce family issues as well as post and pre marital agreements. She also practices in the area of collaborative divorce and has successfully mediated high conflict divorces. In addition to family law, she is also proficient in complex business transactional matters, real estate, and general litigation.
Prior to co-founding Tomasella and Tomasella L.L.C., Ms. Tomasella had a solo practice in New York City, specializing in matrimonial and complex business and real estate matters. Ms. Tomasella also served as Law Clerk for the United States Attorney’s Office; in the Federal Bureau of Investigation, Extradition Unit; and for the Honorable Ruth Pickholtz in New York Criminal Court.
Ms. Tomasella prides herself on providing personalized attention to each of her clients. Although representing a wide variety of clients, Ms. Tomasella treats each of them with respect and dignity, regardless of the size of their case and assets. Ms. Tomasella is tough, yet practical, and provides all of her clients with dedicated, aggressive representation.
Ms. Tomasella graduated from Pace University with a Bachelor of Arts with high honors in 1990 and from New York Law School with a Juris Doctor in 1995.
She was admitted to the State of New York Bar, 1996; State of New Jersey Bar, 1995; United States District Court for the District of New Jersey, 1996; United States District Court, Eastern District of New York 1997; and United States District Court, Southern District of New York 1997.
In addition to litigation, Ms. Tomasella volunteers her legal services to the Military Legal Assistance Program and is an Adjunct Professor teaching Family Law at Pace University, New York City Campus.
